At FUF, we have been committed to creating unique and inspiring web experiences for 30 years. This is why we understand the entire creative process from the perspective of the user and their emotional engagement.

We established the following foundation over the years

We create textual wireframes to highlight the key messages of each page.

Prototyping for feedback loops on colors, scale and graphics.

4. Iteration

As soon as we develop the first drafts, things really get going. We revise the entire style and move on to new pages as quickly as possible.

Frequently asked questions

Do you do web design or UI/UX design?

Both, for us they belong together. UX design is about how people find their way around your website, UI design about how its interfaces look and work. That is why we start with user research on your most important personas and their needs, and at the end of each sprint, usability tests check whether the paths work.

Do we see the web design before it is finished?

Yes, from the very beginning. First you get wireframes that show the key messages of each page, then a first prototype on which you give feedback on colors, scale and graphics. After that, we revise the whole style and move on to the other pages as quickly as possible.

Can you switch our website to responsive web design?

Yes. For the Chamber of Architects Baden-Württemberg, we merged the separate templates for phone and desktop into one responsive version, and since then the phone offers the same features as the desktop. For the Robert Bosch Stiftung, we developed the new online design further and built it as one single responsive design instead of separate versions for desktop and phone.

Is the new web design good for SEO too?

Yes, we make sure of it. Before the launch, we check loading times and SEO. On the Messepark website, for example, every image is delivered in exactly the size the page needs. We offer ongoing search engine optimization as a service of its own, more on our SEO page.

Do you take care of accessibility in web design?

Yes, from the first drafts. We also check wireframes and early design concepts with AI-supported UX tests. That lets us run more rounds, and the result becomes more accessible. These tools do not replace tests with real usage scenarios, though, more in our article on AI UX tests.

Do you also build finished screen designs?

Yes. For Messepark, the new screen designs were given. We built the website on Drupal 11, took over the content of the old site and have been running it since. For Klimawandel Schule, we built the existing design in Drupal exactly as designed.

Which websites have you designed as a web design agency?

Quite a few since 1996. For the Haus der Geschichte Baden-Württemberg, we designed the website based on its corporate design, inspired by the colors and the architecture of the museum. BKI got a new design from us, including its own shop in Drupal.

Do you only do web design for clients in Austin?

No, our clients are spread far and wide. For example, we built the website of the Bavarian Chamber of Architects in Munich in TYPO3, and the website of Messepark in Dornbirn, Austria, on Drupal 11.

How much does professional web design cost?

That mainly depends on whether your website only gets a new design or is completely rebuilt. For the Chamber of Architects Baden-Württemberg, a redesign on the existing technology cost only a fraction of a complete relaunch. We clarify what you need in the free initial consultation.
